Reviews and Ratings
The park offers a beautiful setting with fantastic opportunities for exploring the surrounding areas. While the location and friendly staff are definite highlights, the pitches are quite small and can be muddy due to shady trees, which makes drying things difficult. The cleanliness of the facilities needs serious attention, as they were not up to standard during my visit.
We had a lovely camping trip overall, enjoying a peaceful stay alongside a beautiful country park and a well-kept campsite. The facilities were clean and the kids had a great time, though we did encounter some noise issues from other guests and the shower facilities could have been better maintained.
My stay at the park had its ups and downs. The location is beautiful, right next to a lovely lake, which is fantastic for exploring. However, the cleanliness of the facilities was a real letdown, with dirty toilets and unemptied bins. The pitches were quite small and muddy, which made the experience less comfortable. Overall, while the setting was perfect for families and the park had great amenities, the lack of hygiene made it less enjoyable.
I recently stayed at this camping site and had a mixed experience. On one hand, the surrounding country park is beautiful with a lovely woodland for walks and a nice lake. However, the booking process and facilities left a lot to be desired. The tent pitches were much too cramped, and the restroom facilities were not up to par. Overall, while it had its moments, I wouldn't recommend it for camping enthusiasts looking for a good value.
I had a pleasant camping experience overall, enjoying a spacious pitch that provided a lovely setting despite the rainy weather. The campsite was clean and tidy, with a warm shower block, but my visit was marred by significant issues with staff availability and hygiene, especially during a busy holiday weekend. The location was ideal for family activities, but the lack of proper maintenance was disappointing.
